Nicole Faillaci, owner of Madcap Theater, contacted us wanting to provide a sensory friendly performance once per quarter for ASBC families. This was important to her because her daughter has autism, and she used to be unable to tolerate all the sensory stimulation that occurred during their performances. Today, Nicole's daughter enjoys the comedy shows, and she hopes that other people with autism and their families can have the same experience. The lights will be low, no loud music, no startling sound effects. Anyone can get up and take a break or leave as needed. It's an interactive show, and we want everyone to participate if they want to. Please let us know ahead of time if your family member uses an alternate form of communication, so we can give the staff a heads up. We are so excited for this new partnership with Madcap! They have given us a fantastic discounted price, and ASBC is covering over 50% to make it affordable for all.
